Welcoming Our New Operational Excellence Engineer – Fawzi Chamssine

We are excited to welcome Fawzi Chamssine, who joined Intelligent Mud Solutions on

01 September 2025, as our new Operational Excellence Engineer.

Fawzi brings with him a strong academic and professional background in petroleum engineering and drilling fluid technologies. He holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering (Drilling & Well Technology) and an MSc in Petroleum Engineering (Production Engineering) from the University of Stavanger, as well as a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Balamand.

Most recently, Fawzi worked as a Fluids Field Engineer at SLB Norge, where he optimised drilling fluids, analysed real-time downhole data, and collaborated with rig teams to improve drilling performance through automation and advanced fluid management solutions. His experience also includes leading research in sustainable well cementing technologies during his PhD.

At IMS, Fawzi will play a key role in driving operational excellence, ensuring seamless integration of our real-time drilling fluid measurement technologies into field operations worldwide. His expertise in fluid monitoring, automation, and data analytics will strengthen IMS’s mission to deliver precision, efficiency, and innovation in every well.
