The annual BBQ, hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Alaska Section, raises funds for scholarships awarded to Alaskan students pursuing professional technical degrees in engineering and earth sciences. Over the past 30+ years, the program has awarded more than $750,000 to over 400 high-performing students from across Alaska—helping to develop the next generation of energy professionals.
