This week, Intelligent Mud Solutions had the pleasure of hosting colleagues from Newpark for an informal dinner in Stavanger. While the setting was relaxed, the discussions were anything but casual.

Bringing together key people from both organisations, the evening served as an important touchpoint in what continues to develop into a strong and forward-looking collaboration.
Beyond Meetings: Building Real Alignment
In an industry where operational performance, reliability, and data-driven decisions are critical, partnerships must go beyond contractual agreements. They require alignment — not only in strategy, but in mindset.
The discussions during the evening reflected exactly that.
From how we approach real-time data utilisation to how we jointly position our technologies in the market, there is a clear and growing synergy between IMS and Newpark.
This is not just cooperation; it is a shared direction.
From Strategy to Execution
The collaboration between IMS and Newpark is already moving beyond concept and into execution.
With growing global interest and ongoing deployments, the focus is now on scaling solutions that deliver measurable value:
Improved well control through better density monitoring
Enhanced hole cleaning insights through real-time rheology
Reduced HSE exposure by minimising manual sampling
Increased operational efficiency through earlier detection of anomalies
These are not future ambitions; they are outcomes being realised today.
The Value of Meeting in Person
While digital tools enable global collaboration, there is still no substitute for sitting down together.
The Stavanger dinner provided an opportunity to:
Align on priorities
Challenge assumptions
Strengthen relationships across teams
And perhaps most importantly, it reinforced a shared commitment to moving forward, together.
Looking Ahead
The IMS–Newpark collaboration continues to gain momentum, supported by strong technical alignment and a clear commercial pathway.
As the industry moves further towards automation and real-time decision-making, partnerships like this will play a key role in shaping how drilling operations are executed in the future.
This evening in Stavanger was a simple reminder of an important truth:
Strong partnerships are built through people and strengthened through shared purpose.
