Our RheoSense units on CAT – J (Askepott) are now equipped with the capability of software over the air (SOTA) updates.
SOTA enables IMS to update our software remotely on these units. The This feature was enabled within the first 2 weeks of 2022, whilst the IMS team went out to do preventive maintenance on the units offshore at the Oseberg field outside Bergen.
Our automation department is now able to remotely update the PLC software in our skids, on this occasion via a secure VPN solution provided by TeamViewer. We expected to offer other forms of VPN secure updating services to suit our customer data security restrictions.
Software enhancements and Improvements developed by our R&D team can quickly be implemented, without the need for sending personnel onsite. This minimizes the Co2 footprint of our operations and contributes to cost savings for our clients, leaving them with a better overall service.
